Korean Air unveils revamped flagship lounges at Incheon Terminal 2

  • April 20, 2026

Korean Air has completed overhaul of its lounge network at Incheon International Airport Terminal 2.

The project has modernised the airline’s entire lounge offering at Incheon and more than doubled total lounge capacity at the terminal. The expansion comes as Korean Air prepares for increased passenger volumes ahead of its planned integration with Asiana Airlines. Designed around the concept of a “home away from home”, the new lounges place a strong emphasis on comfort, dining and wellness, while also reflecting Korean Air’s premium positioning.

The reimagined First Class Lounge spans 921 square metres, making it 2.3 times larger than the previous facility. Designed for privacy and personalised pre-flight comfort, the space is divided into an open hall and 11 private suites, giving travellers a more secluded environment before boarding.

Its interiors draw from traditional Korean architecture, with wood pillars, exposed beams and ramie, or mosi, textures creating a refined sense of place. Guests are guided to independent suites on arrival, reinforcing the lounge’s focus on exclusivity and calm.

Dining is delivered through an à la carte offering built around traditional recipes and natural flavours. Table settings combine Christofle cutlery, Bernardaud porcelain, Baccarat and Riedel glassware with Korean craftsmanship including white porcelain by Lee Ki-jo and traditional brassware by Lee Hyung-geun. The lounge also functions as a curated gallery, featuring works by Anish Kapoor alongside Korean artists Kim Young-joo, Lee Bae, Yoo Bong-sang and Chae Sung-pil, with a palette centred on traditional Korean tones of yellow and black. A wellness zone with premium massage chairs and shower suites with separate powder rooms and private shower booths completes the experience.

The food and beverage offering includes an expansive buffet of Korean and Western cuisine, live cooking stations and a full-service bar. Handmade desserts and traditional Korean snacks, including yakgwa prepared by Grand Hyatt chefs, sit alongside seasonal fruits and soft-serve ice cream. The menu will also be refreshed quarterly to reflect seasonal ingredients.

For business travellers, the Prestige Class West Lounge adds practical appeal with a dedicated Tech Zone fitted with work stations, while a separate wellness area with premium massage chairs offers space to recharge before departure. Dynamic digital art installations that shift according to time and viewing angle further enhance the sense of movement and modernity throughout the lounge.
