Air France renews Nina Métayer partnership for long-haul Business Class desserts

  • April 20, 2026

Air France is extending its collaboration with acclaimed pastry chef Nina Métayer, unveiling a new collection of desserts for customers travelling in Business Class on long-haul flights departing Paris from April 2026.

The renewed partnership continues a relationship that began in 2024 and further strengthens the airline’s premium culinary positioning in the air. Named World’s Best Pastry Chef in 2023, Métayer has developed a fresh range of desserts created specifically for the onboard environment, balancing flavour, texture and presentation in a way designed to translate well at altitude.

Among the latest additions are two new creations joining the menu for the first time, Raspberry coconut delight and Lemon verbena escape. According to Air France, the new desserts have been designed as light yet indulgent offerings that complement the airline’s French-inspired dining experience in the Business cabin.

“I designed these desserts to be true travel companions. I’ve created rich yet light pastries to take travellers on a sensory journey, whilst evoking the charm of faraway destinations,” said Nina Métayer.

The dessert offering sits alongside the long-haul Business Class menu created by Régis Marcon, Air France’s signature chef for the cabin. A triple-Michelin-starred chef and Bocuse d’Or winner, Marcon draws inspiration from nature and from his home region of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, shaping dishes that the airline says reflect both refinement and authenticity.

The airline is also continuing its pre-selection service for Business Class customers, allowing travellers to choose their main course up to 24 hours before departure. Air France says the initiative not only secures customers’ preferred meal choice but also supports fairer onboard consumption as part of its wider effort to reduce food waste.

For business travellers, the continuation of Métayer’s collaboration adds another layer to Air France’s premium proposition on long-haul services from Paris, reinforcing the airline’s focus on elevating the onboard experience through a recognisably French approach to hospitality and cuisine.
