Marriott and Air Canada’s Aeroplan Deepen Loyalty Partnership, Unlocking New Travel Benefits for Business Travellers

Marriott International has enhanced its partnership with Aeroplan, Air Canada’s leading travel loyalty program. The expanded collaboration offers new perks and greater flexibility to business travellers, building on the longstanding relationship between these two brands.

As part of the enhanced partnership, Aeroplan 50K, 75K, and Super Elite Members will now receive Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite Status, providing them with exclusive hotel benefits. Meanwhile, Marriott Bonvoy Titanium Elite and Ambassador Elite Members will be granted Aeroplan 25K Status, unlocking travel benefits with Air Canada. To access the perks, members must link their Marriott Bonvoy and Aeroplan accounts.

Additionally, Aeroplan Elite members will now be able to convert Aeroplan points to Marriott Bonvoy points on a 1:1 basis, adding more flexibility for business travellers who want to extend their points across both programs. This complements the existing feature that allows Marriott Bonvoy members to convert their points to Aeroplan points at a 3:1 ratio.

Enhanced Benefits for Business Travellers include Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite Members enjoy priority late check-out (subject to availability), enhanced room upgrades, and a 25% bonus on eligible stays. Aeroplan 25K Status Members gain access to priority check-in and boarding, two complimentary checked bags, eUpgrade credits, and complimentary preferred seats (subject to availability).

This expanded partnership offers business travellers enhanced opportunities to earn and redeem points across global hotel stays and flights, ensuring a more rewarding and convenient travel experience. With seamless access to both Marriott’s properties and Air Canada’s flight network, the collaboration aims to cater to the needs of frequent travellers seeking both luxury and flexibility.
