Air New Zealand to suspend seasonal Vietnam service due to inconsistent demand
- September 20, 2018
Air New Zealand will suspend its twice weekly service to Vietnam from 2019.
The airline is facing challenges with issues to the Rolls Royce aircraft engine powering some of it’s Boeing 787 fleet and needs to better match capacity with demand for wide body aircraft. The twice weekly service, currently in its third season, has proved popular with Kiwi families in the key school holiday periods however outside of that timeframe demand has not met expectations.
Air New Zealand’s final service to Ho Chi Minh City operates on 23 October.
