Webjet CEO Katrina Barry steps down
- March 30, 2026
ebjet Group has entered a leadership transition after confirming the resignation of Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Katrina Barry, with the ASX-listed travel business saying a search for her successor is now underway. The company disclosed the move in an announcement released on 30 March 2026.
Barry has been closely tied to Webjet’s recent transformation. She joined the board of Webjet Limited as a non-executive director in 2022 and moved into the CEO role for the Webjet B2C business in June 2024, before going on to lead the standalone Webjet Group through its demerger and ASX listing. Chairman Don Clarke said Barry had played a key role in guiding the business through that period and in shaping a new five-year strategic roadmap focused on brand, marketing and technology capability.
Webjet said travel demand had remained resilient despite global uncertainty, with travellers continuing to favour domestic and short-haul destinations across Asia and the Pacific. It remains on track to deliver underlying EBITDA of $28 million to $29 million, excluding Webjet Business Travel, which is expected to reduce second-half underlying EBITDA by around $600,000 to $900,000.
