TFE hotels debuts in the U.K. with Adina openings in Cambridge and Glasgow

Australian hotel operator TFE Hotels is expanding with the launch of two Adina-branded apartment-hotels in the United Kingdom marking the group’s entry into the UK market.
The two properties, The Hobson Cambridge by Adina and The Wellington Glasgow by Adina will form the cornerstone of TFE’s UK strategy and reinforce its commitment to providing flexible, design-forward accommodation in culturally rich urban centres.
TFE Hotels CEO Antony Ritch described the UK debut as a “significant milestone” in the company’s global growth strategy. “After two decades of successful growth in continental Europe, the time is right to extend our presence into one of the world’s most competitive hospitality markets,” said Ritch. “Cambridge and Glasgow are vibrant, globally connected cities that align strongly with the Adina brand and offer strong demand across both corporate and leisure sectors.”
The two UK openings represent a blend of heritage architecture and modern design. The Hobson Cambridge by Adina, set within a restored former police station, will feature 56 keys and include a signature bar and restaurant under a striking glass-roofed courtyard. It aims to appeal to the academic, cultural, and local clientele of the historic university town. In Glasgow, The Wellington Glasgow by Adina will open near George Square, offering 98 design-led studio apartments with easy access to the city’s business and entertainment precincts.
For business travellers from New Zealand and the wider Asia-Pacific region, the openings signal greater choice and familiarity in the UK’s dynamic hospitality sector. With more developments in the pipeline, TFE Hotels is set to become a more prominent player in Europe’s upscale extended-stay accommodation market.
