Qantas Unveils Refurbished Adelaide Qantas Club and Expands Regional Lounge Network

  • November 19, 2024

Oneworld member Qantas has reopened its Qantas Club at Adelaide Airport following a significant refurbishment, marking the latest milestone in the airline’s A$100 million global lounge upgrade program.

The revamped space now offers customers a full seasonal buffet menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, complemented by premium South Australian wines and beers. Travellers can also stay connected with USB-A and USB-C chargers, along with wireless charging mats strategically placed throughout the lounge.

This redevelopment in Adelaide is part of a broader transformation project, which includes a brand-new Domestic Business Lounge, set to open in mid-2025, alongside the complete refurbishment of the existing Qantas Club and Chairmans Lounge. While the overall lounge footprint remains unchanged, redesigned spaces will boost total seating capacity by over 10%. The upgraded lounges will highlight South Australian craftsmanship, featuring locally sourced furniture, lighting, and natural materials, with curated elements from JamFactory artisans and artworks created by local First Nations artists.

Looking ahead, Qantas is enhancing its regional offerings as well. Starting next month, Qantas customers flying through regional Western Australia can look forward to the opening of the new Broome Regional Lounge in December. The space, which doubles the previous lounge’s capacity, caters to strong demand from premium travellers and coincides with the terminal’s expansion.

Additionally, Qantas and Jetstar recently finalized a long-term commercial agreement with Hobart Airport, paving the way for a new lounge. Expected to open in 2027, the upcoming Qantas Club will nearly double its current capacity, showcasing Tasmanian produce and further enriching the travel experience.
