Emirates’ elevated First Class

  • May 19, 2025

Emirates has unveiled a series of upgrades across its First Class offering for the ultra-premium travel segment and adding fresh appeal for business travellers seeking a seamless blend of privacy, productivity and comfort.

With over 26,800 First Class seats flown each week, each one a private suite, Emirates’ premium product continues to focus on refining the travel experience at every touchpoint both in the air and on the ground.

Private Suites with Functionality

Aboard the Airbus A380, Emirates’ First Class features 14 enclosed suites in a 1-2-1 layout, complete with lie-flat beds, work desks, and sliding privacy doors. For those travelling on the Boeing 777 ‘Game Changer’ aircraft, the configuration is reduced to just six suites (1-1-1), each with floor-to-ceiling doors, a ‘zero-gravity’ recline mode, video call-enabled service, and even virtual windows for middle seats.

These upgrades translate to greater control over rest, work, and privacy, particularly useful on overnight or long-haul sectors where rest and uninterrupted productivity are priorities.

Enhanced Dining and Onboard Experience

First Class passengers now enjoy engraved caviar serviceware, redesigned menus that double as keepsakes, and a revised presentation of cheese and accompaniments, all part of a refreshed fine dining experience available on-demand throughout the flight. Business travellers working across time zones can dine when it suits them, with expanded snack options including wagyu sliders and lobster rolls.

The beverage selection is also elevated, with exclusive access to Dom Pérignon champagne, rare wines from Burgundy and Bordeaux, aged ports, and a curated global spirits range. For those skipping alcohol, the airline offers premium teas by Dilmah and Lavazza coffee options.

Wellness and Restorative Comfort

Emirates has invested in comfort amenities designed to combat travel fatigue. From moisturising sleepwear and Byredo skincare to Bulgari fragrances and ambient lighting, every suite is equipped for rest and recovery. Lie-flat bedding includes memory foam mattresses and cotton duvets, with faux sheepskin blankets on select aircraft for added warmth.

On the A380, the dedicated Shower Spa remains a standout feature. With organic VOYA products, heated floors and a full suite of grooming amenities, it provides a refreshing reset before arrival especially valuable before heading straight into meetings.

Entertainment and Connectivity

First Class suites feature 32-inch HD displays paired with Bowers & Wilkins noise-cancelling headphones and access to Emirates’ ICE entertainment system with 6,500+ channels. Whether catching up on international news or relaxing post-meeting with a film, the entertainment and sound quality are both best-in-class.

Ground Services

On the ground, Emirates is upgrading its First Class check-in area at Dubai International Airport to include a lounge-style space with personalised service.

Chauffeur-drive services remain standard in most destinations, ensuring smooth door-to-door connectivity ideal for time-sensitive itineraries.

Baggage and Storage

A 50kg checked baggage allowance plus spacious in-suite storage options including full-length wardrobes ensures business travellers can travel with multiple outfits, documents or equipment without compromise.
