British Airways debuts next generation lounges in Miami and Dubai

  • October 17, 2025

British Airways has unveiled its new lounge design concept with openings in Miami and Dubai, sharpening the value proposition for business travellers especially those holding oneworld status who need reliable spaces to work, refresh and host between flights. The move forms part of the carrier’s wider multi billion pound transformation and signals a clear pivot to high function hospitality: better zoning, stronger cuisine, and service that meets the cadence of a corporate itinerary.

In Miami, BA returns with a dedicated 13,000 sq ft lounge — its largest outside London positioned directly above the departure gate in Terminal E. Expect five distinct zones that flow together: a full service bar with airfield views for post meeting decompression; a main dining space with locally sourced dishes given a British twist; quiet, focus pods and a partitioned central lounge for discreet calls; plus two shower suites for a proper reset before an overnight sector. Travellers in First can step up to the Concorde Dining Room for à la carte service and premium pours when client hosting demands a higher touch.

In Dubai (Terminal 1), the nearly 5,800 sq ft lounge blends contemporary British finishes with Middle Eastern design cues arches, patterned metals, and an eye catching central bar. The dining line up runs from Arabic breakfast and mezze to British classics, complemented by premium Champagnes, English sparkling wine, and crafted cocktails; Coffee Planet and BA’s new global tea partner, Birchall, underscore the all day utility. A separate Concorde Dining Room again provides a private, service led option for First customers.

Customers travelling in BA Club World or First, BA Executive Club Silver and above, and oneworld Sapphire and above gain entry — meaning Qantas, American Airlines and other oneworld elites can reliably tap these spaces on eligible itineraries. That consistency reduces friction across multi carrier routings.
