American Airlines resumes Auckland flights

American Airlines restarts daily service to Auckland from Dallas Fort Worth from Oct 29.

American Airlines will return to New Zealand Oct. 31, with the launch its daily service on the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner between Auckland Airport (AKL) and Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). Dallas Fort Worth is the airline’s largest hub in the United States and serves as an important gateway to other parts of the Unites States, Europe and Latin America.

With travel to North America from Asia Pacific growing in demand, the reintroduction of Auckland to American’s expansive list of routes ensures a greater number of adventure opportunities for those travelling from New Zealand.

Flagship Business Class

The American Airlines Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft will have a complete premium offering for customers with a world-class flight experience complete with Flagship® Business and Premium Economy cabins, high-speed Wi-Fi, and hundreds of movies and TV shows on-demand at every seat along with great American Airlines customer service.

Flagship First Dining and Lounge

American Airlines Flagship Business Class customers on American Airlines flights will have the privilege of soaking up pre-flight dining and lounge experience at American Airlines Flagship Lounge at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport.

Customers can enjoy a range of food options including a robust hot and cold food buffet; an a la carte dining menu and a chef’s table with a rotating menu of made-to-order entrees. They can pair their meals with premium wine and champagne or a drink from our “make your own cocktail” station.

Flagship First Dining Customers travelling on qualifying international and transcontinental flights will have exclusive access to Flagship First Dining, located within the Flagship Lounge.

Seasonal service between Auckland and the airline’s largest hub launches will operate until March 25, 2023.

American’s inaugural DFW–AKL flight will land at Auckland Airport Oct. 31 and will depart for DFW Nov. 1. American also offers codeshare service between AKL and LAX operated by oneworld® alliance partner, Qantas.
