AIME 2026 tipped to generate record A$425 million in business

  • March 19, 2026

AIME 2026 is projected to generate a record A$425 million in business transactions over the next 12 months, according to independent post-show research, underlining the event’s standing as Asia Pacific’s leading trade show for the business events sector.

Held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from 9 to 11 February 2026, this year’s edition delivered its strongest results to date, with more than 1,500 vetted buyers, over 765 exhibitors from 36 countries and territories, and upwards of 5,000 attendees from across the global business events industry. More than 25,000 pre-scheduled meetings were conducted across the two-day trade show, reflecting the event’s continued emphasis on commercially meaningful connections between buyers and exhibitors.

AIME’s appointment model combines human-led curation with AI-powered scheduling, designed to match qualified global buyers with relevant exhibitors and create stronger opportunities for business outcomes. That approach appears to have resonated strongly with participants.

Talk2 Media & Events chief executive Matt Pearce said the results reinforced the strength of AIME’s curated format.

“AIME is uniquely built around the quality of the connections we create,” he said. Our event is carefully curated to ensure the right people are meeting each other, which leads to stronger conversations, better partnerships and real commercial outcomes.”

“The projected $425 million in business shows the value of those meetings and the role AIME plays in supporting destinations, venues and suppliers across the Asia Pacific region”, added Matt.

Melbourne Convention Bureau chief executive Julia Swanson said AIME continued to demonstrate the region’s ability to host globally significant trade events.

“AIME continues to shine as the premier business events trade show in our region and MCB is incredibly proud to own such an impactful event,” she said.

Delivered by Talk2 Media & Events, AIME 2026 was the largest edition staged to date under Event Director Silke Calder and her team, setting new records across show size, hosted buyer participation, exhibitor numbers and total attendance.
