Accor dominates Skytrax airport hotel rankings across Australia and New Zealand
- March 27, 2026
Accor has reinforced its grip on airport hospitality in Australasia, with Pullman Brisbane Airport named Best Airport Hotel in Australia/Pacific at the 2026 Skytrax World Airport Awards.
The group secured five of the top six positions in the regional rankings. Skytrax placed Pullman Brisbane Airport first, followed by Parkroyal Melbourne Airport in second, with Pullman Auckland Airport, Novotel Sydney Airport, Novotel Christchurch Airport and Pullman Sydney Airport also featuring in the top six.
For business travellers, the result underscores how airport hotels are evolving beyond functional overnight stays into more polished, productivity-friendly environments that sit at the centre of the wider travel journey. Pullman Brisbane Airport’s latest win adds to an already strong record for the property, which has built a reputation around premium accommodation, efficient access and a more elevated airport stay proposition.

Accor’s broader performance also reflects the scale of its airport hotel footprint across the Pacific. The company says it now operates 23 airport hotels across the region, following recent expansion that includes the opening of Novotel and ibis Styles Melbourne Airport, while Pullman Perth Airport is due to open in 2027 as the first hotel within the Perth Airport estate.
Across the Tasman, Pullman Auckland Airport’s third-place regional ranking is another notable result. The hotel has positioned itself as the only five-star property at Auckland International Airport, just a short walk from the terminal, with meeting facilities, a top-floor restaurant and a design language intended to reflect Aotearoa’s cultural identity. That makes it especially relevant for premium and corporate travellers seeking a seamless pre-flight, post-arrival or short-stay base in New Zealand’s busiest gateway.
The 2026 Skytrax airport hotel awards were based on passenger surveys covering factors such as ease of airport access, room quality, service, food and overall value, giving the rankings particular weight among frequent flyers who increasingly expect airport accommodation to deliver both convenience and a genuine sense of quality.
