Delta Airlines launches new Premium Economy on A350s and B777s

Delta Airlines has pulled the curtains on its new premium economy product  where the latest cabin the will feature additional space, elevated service and distinguished amenities provided by partnerships with brands focused on design and quality. Delta Premium will be introduced on the airline’s Airbus A350s entering service in 2017. Delta A350s will feature 48 Delta Premium seats, as well as 32 Delta One suites and 226 Main Cabin seats. Delta Premium will roll out on its Boeing 777 fleet beginning in 2018.

Delta Premium will feature more space with up to 38 inches of pitch, up to 19 inches of width and up to seven inches of recline and also offer adjustable leg rests and head rests. Guests will enjoy Westin Heavenly® In-Flight Blanket with pillow and a TUMI amenity kit featuring Malin+Goetz Travel Essentials, allowing customers to settle in and arrive well-rested. A pre-departure beverage service followed by fresh, seasonal menu selections presented with Alessi serviceware designed exclusively for Delta.

For entertainment, a 13.3-inch, high resolution in-flight entertainment screen that is among the largest in its class, allowing customers to stay entertained with Delta Studio’s industry-leading library of complimentary movies, shows and games, and noise-cancelling headphones. The Premium cabin will also feature in-seat power ports for large and small devices and convenient storage to keep them within reach.

Delta Premium guests can also take advantage of Sky Priority services on the ground including priority check-in, security screening, boarding and baggage delivery. Lounge access is not a part of the Premium package but guests can use Delta’s partner Virgin Australia’s Velocity Gold, Velocity Platinum loyalty programs, SkyTeam Elite Plus or a paid Delta Sky Club membership for lounge access.

Delta Airlines has also completed installation of Wi-Fi on its entire long-haul international fleet enabling customers flying on more than 200 daily flights between the United States and Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, the Middle East and South America to stay connected at 30,000 feet. 180 of it’s international wide-body aircraft are now equipped with International Wi-Fi installation including Boeing 747, Boeing 777, Boeing 767, international Boeing 757-200 and Airbus A330.
